About Our ASC
West Coast Surgical Center is a Medicare Deemed Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), which means we have successfully met rigorous national standards in order to provide surgical care to both Medicare and private payer beneficiaries. On a continuous basis, our ASC leaders comply with hundreds of quality control measures, to be performed on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis to ensure we maintain our prestigious Medicare Deemed status. This process affirms our unwavering commitment to quality patient care.
At WCSC we provide same-day surgical care, including diagnostic and preventative procedures. As an ASC, we can provide patients with an alternative to having procedures done in a hospital setting, which means fewer delays, less time away from work, family and other commitments.
By providing specialized care, our ASC is able to concentrate on patient safety and the patient experience. Our ASC has an excellent record of safety and quality outcomes for patients. Just like in hospital operating rooms, the surgeons, nurses and medical professionals in our ASC follow a very specific set of protocols that consistently lead to excellent results for surgical patients by lower the risks encountered by patients in a hospital setting.

Regulation & Oversight
ASCs function just like hospital outpatient departments and, like hospitals; ASCs must comply with a wide range of laws, rules and regulations. West Coast Surgical Center is Medicare certified. ASCs are also required to maintain a strict sanitary environment; every ASC must establish and maintain programs and procedures for preventing infections. ASCs must conduct regular, comprehensive assessments of the quality of care they provide to their patients.
