Dr. Skillern completed his undergraduate work at the University of Southern California at Santa Barbara graduating Magna Cum Laude and earned his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Skillern completed his surgery internship and surgery residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, followed by postgraduate work at University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville. Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and advanced Trauma Life Support, along with completing research in Lyophilized Vein Grafts, Dr. Skillern brings a wide range of knowledge and is committed to excellence in vascular surgery and patient care.
Li Sheng Kong, MD

Dr. Kong is a highly trained vascular surgeon with advanced endovascular skills. Dr. Kong received a Bachelor of Arts from John Hopkins University and Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Tennessee. Prior to completing his vascular and endovascular fellowship at Emory University he completed his General Surgery Residency at Tulane University School of Medicine. Belonging to the Society of Vascular Surgery, Dr. Kong has written over one dozen manuscripts in endovascular procedures. In addition, he has helped to build programs that reflect ongoing changes in the treatment of vascular disease, such as minimally invasive stent grafts for thoracic aneurysms, carotid stenting, and advanced venous therapy.
David Blitzer, MD

Dr. Blitzer graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina followed by two years of advanced research at the National Institutes of Health. After that, he earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey before completing General Surgery Residency at MedStar Health in Baltimore and Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Maryland.
Jonathan W. Dukes, MD

Dr. Dukes completed his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and earned his Doctorate of Medicine from University of California, San Francisco. Following graduation from Medical school, Dr. Dukes completed his internal medicine residency at John Hopkins Hospital. He then circled back to the University of California, San Francisco to do his Electrophysiology Fellowship.

Amber Young is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, who has a long-standing history working with vascular patients. For the last decade, she worked at West Coast Vascular as a Registered Nurse and Surgical Nurse Manager. She came to Pacific Cardiovascular & Vein Institute with advanced training in the operating room, and in pre and post-operative care. Amber received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from United States University of San Diego.
